Rather than pairing them with more black chalcedony, I chose small sardonyx beads. When cut into spheres, the black, white and brown layers of the sardonyx create "eyes" in the beads. For centuries, these have been believed to ward off the "evil eye" in many cultures. Though I can make an all black chalcedony version of this necklace for the same price, I couldn't resist the added intrigue of a good story. I hope you are just as charmed.
This necklace has 109 carats of black chalcedony, 21 carats of sardonyx, 22 hand-crafted quatrefoils, tiny hematite beads, and Balinese silver accents. It can be worn long, or doubled with the "S" clasp provided. The necklace is 34.5" long. Matching earrings are available.
