This handcrafted brass elephant is paired with 267 carats of tigereye, coral, and black chalcedony beads. The brass accent beads feature the double fish, one of the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhism. They symbolize liberation and joy. Curious how both Hindus and Buddhists see elephants as removers of obstacles. Buddhists through the taming of the mind, and Hindus through their elephant-headed god, Ganesha. With the bright coral and golden tigereye, this necklace is definitely a powerhouse. All of the brass elements are handcrafted by very skilled artists (many of them Tibetan refugees), and I'm so happy to support their work.
